Summer Vacation!

Schools almost out, birds are chirping, and you want to go overseas on vacation! But where? In this article, we’ll be talking about the best places to be on vacation if you’re going overseas. Let’s unpack this information!

Let’s look at a map

Because there’s 7 continents, there’s a lot of famous landmarks you can visit, especially in Europe. For example, if you like art, you can visit the Louvre in Paris, France. If you are Christian, you can visit the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, South America. But let’s explore Paris and Italy first. Some examples of the most famous landmarks in Paris are:
– The Eiffel Tower
– The Louvre
– The Notre-Dame
– The Arc de Triomphe
– The Palace of Versailles
and many more! Paris is SO famous that it has 2,185 landmarks, which makes it the most landmarked country in the world! Italy, on the other hand, has landmarks like:
– The Colosseum
– The Leaning Tower of Pisa
– Pompeii
– Palazzo Vechio
-Galleria Vittorio Emanuele 2
and more landmarks to see! Though Italy doesn’t have as many landmarks as France, it still has 60 landmarks! But let’s look at some other continents and THEIR landmarks.

In continents like South America and Africa, there aren’t as many landmarks. Africa, which is known for savannas and lions, doesn’t have any major landmarks, but there are a few, like:
– Victoria Falls
– Hassan 2 Mosque
– Valley of the Kings
– The Giza Pyramids
– Abu Simbel Temples
and only a few others. Africa, though it has Egypt, only has 144. Given that Africa held a once-great nation, you’d think there would be more landmarks, but at least it beats Italy. South America is super famous for Rio de Janeiro, which has landmarks such as:
– Machu Picchu
– Iguazu Falls
– Christ the Redeemer
– Uyuni Salt Flat
– Atacama Desert
and more to come. South America actually has just over 70, so Italy is off the podium. It’s amazing to think that Italy, Africa, and South America have low numbers, because they held some of the greatest nations.

Start packing

Though we could just stay where we are, going out and exploring continents helps us understand them and their history better. How? Though landmarks. So in this article, we learned that there is SO much TO explore, so we need to start packing, and go seize the day/world ( NOT world domination, just travel)!
